Randell A. DeLay, Courseware Developer, Instructor, and Regional Marketing Director, understands and enjoys people, resources, processes and technology. When he gets them in the same room, the fun and learning begin. Randy has been using computers in training and sales positions for 20+ years. As a manager for fifteen, Randy's focus has always been to empower his employees through training. Additional responsibilities also included marketing, customer service, budgeting, inventory management, technical service, and recruiting. Randy is able to apply computer concepts and skills to a wide array of specific situations, keeping his students spellbound. He's also a Microsoft Certified Application Specialist in Word 2007, Outlook 2007, and Powerpoint 2007..
Randy has developed training programs and manuals, and trained numerous employees in his positions at Pepsi, Aeroquip, and Buddy Bi-Rite. He has trained regional management recruits, sales staff, warehouse staff, and employees in the restaurant, retail, wholesale, rental, and manufacturing industries. In his time with Computer Basics Corp, Randy has trained or worked on courseware development and production for Fair Isaac Co., The Shaw Group, Siemens, Acuson, AT&T, and Bell South.
Michael T. Denk Jr, ILE Courseware Developer, Instructor, and Dimensions Guru, offers a diverse range of talents to our students. Mike started with his first computer in 1980, and he's been exploring and applying uses for computers ever since. Mike went from gaming and building computers to learning Basic (the programming language) and any software he could get his hands on. In 1988, he took Computer Drafting and then worked in civil drafting for a few years. After moving to Mississippi, he worked for Ingalls Ship Builders as a designer using Calma, a proprietary GE program. Meanwhile, Mike earned an AA in Computer Science at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 1993.
Although it was a "decent career," Mike's creative side was begging to be released, so he moved to New Mexico where he tutored a new business owner in Corel Draw while also helping her establish and build a successful graphics art business. Mike realized that helping people and applying his creative energy were more in line with his joy for learning. He delved into 3D animation when it first arrived on the software stage and is familiar with several programs. In his "free" time, he creates pottery with his wife Sandra.
Over the years, he's helped numerous owners, managers, and individuals utilize their computers more effectively, while also challenging them to explore and learn more. As an instructor, Mike knows how to convey his 3D knowledge and extensive computer experience in "plain language" that engages and enlightens his students. |
